The surging Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 1-0 on Sunday and moved into a tie with the New York Mets for the final wild card spot in the National League
The Cincinnati Reds are in playoff position for the 1st time since April 29 and control their own path because they own the tiebreaker over the Mets.
CINCINNATI — The Cubs ’ 1-0 loss Sunday to the Reds enabled the Brewers to clinch the National League Central title and resulted in a few dubious firsts for the North Siders.
