New England traded Milton and a seventh-round pick to the Cowboys for a fifth-round pick, which leaves Joshua Dobbs as the team's lone quarterback behind Drake Maye. The Patriots could look to draft another quarterback for depth purposes, while Milton will be Dak Prescott's backup in Dallas.

Joe Milton has played in one NFL game and showed enough, throwing for 229 yards and a TD, for the Cowboys to trade for him.
