Michigan loses LB Cole Sullivan to Oklahoma via transfer portal
Linebacker Cole Sullivan won’t return to Michigan, instead committing to Oklahoma after entering the portal despite late optimism in Ann Arbor.
One of the top linebackers in the portal, Sullivan is another major get for the Sooners. Sullivan was debating a return to Michigan but OU general manager Jim Nagy and coach Brent Venables sealed the deal, earning one of their most impressive wins this portal cycle.

New Michigan State coach Pat Fitzgerald has now picked up 11 portal commitments and Fraley is the third offensive lineman, following UConn tackle Ben Murawski and South Carolina guard Nick Sharpe. Those additions will help offset the dozen offensive linemen the Spartans lost among more than 40 players in the portal.
However, as expected with a coaching change, the Wolverines have been losing players through the portal, and it happened again on Monday, Jan. 5. According to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett, four-star defensive back Andre Clarke has requested and been granted a release from signing with Michigan.
Michigan State has had a successful start to the transfer-portal window. The Spartans also are preparing to host several more transfers this week.
