India has barred Jane Street from the country’s financial markets and said it would seize around $570 million that the U.S. securities firm made from allegedly fraudulent trades.

India's markets regulator has widened its probe into alleged market manipulation by U.S. securities trading firm Jane Street to include other exchanges and indices, according to a source, after barring it from trading in the Indian markets earlier on Friday.

India has temporarily barred Jane Street Group LLC from accessing the local securities market for alleged index manipulation, dealing a severe hit to the US firm that made $4.3 billion in trading gains there in more than two years.
