Harry Brook believes thick Kolkata smog contributed to England’s hapless display against spin in the opening T20 against India.

In the first T20I against India at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, England's batters were struggling not just with the spin threat but smog. The thick haze that covered the stadium made it tough for the visitors to pick the ball,

England lost their opening T20I game by seven wickets in India, It was not a great beginning for England. For the chase, India rode their luck somewhat with a flying 79 from Abhishek Sharma and total of 133 runs in hand.

Harry Brook looked uncomfortable against the spin when spinners were operating and lost his wicket to Varun Chakravarthy.
