Dogged by questions on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal even from Scotland, President Donald Trump again sought to put distance between himself and the sex offender — offering one of his most thorough personal explanations to date on his former relationship with the disgraced financier.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday and other news outlets confirmed what many had already suspected given Donald Trump’s apparent uneasiness about the unrelenting focus on his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein since his Administration tried to close the case on the alleged sex trafficker and unsuccessfully urge people to move on earlier this month.
