The world's best golfers may experience challenging weather as the 125th U.S. Open heads into the third round.

The 125th U.S. Open is taking place this week outside of Pittsburgh at Oakmont Country Club, and after a dry, hot start, shower and storm chances will increase for the weekend. Oakmont Country Club is hosting the tournament for a record 10th time this year, with the last one in 2016 when Dustin Johnson won.

Weather has always been part of the story at Oakmont Country Club, arguably golf's most menacing venue, including the 2025 U.S. Open.

Multiple days of rain are likely to threaten golfers at the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club throughout the tournament week in Pennsylvania, the FOX Forecast Center said.

Friday is where it could start to get a little shaky. There's a small chance of rain showers during the day and it increases as the day goes on, increasing to 40 percent later in the evening. Highs are projected to be in the low 80s with light winds.
